Issues

Gallo and Shelby worked closely to ensure software would provide the functionality to meet the business need. However, the project had certain noteworthy challenges that would need to be properly managed. Among them were:

- Minimizing contract redundancy
- Organizational factors
- Pioneering a new system
- Feature gaps in 9r1

Minimizing contract redundancy

During the discovery phase, the Gallo project team recognized that many of their legal documents contained similar language.  Differences in legal clauses within legal documents such as NDA (Non Disclosure Agreements), MICA (Master Independent Contract Agreements), Basic Continuous Indemnity Agreement (BICA), and Consulting Agreements were essentially cultural and needed to be consolidated.  Applying the 80/20 rule, the project team wanted to reduce the number documents for minor differences and leverage similarity to create common libraries within ACM.
