Goals of Spend Visibility
The company began their spend technology transformation with spend analytics and deploying Ariba Spend Visibility™ (ASV) in 2008. The goal was to improve the management of spend data and to identify opportunities of spend savings generated by enterprise applications and eventually other data sources such as sourcing and invoicing.
In choosing an on-demand platform, the company also sought to capture the savings benefits of a rapid deployment while leveraging Ariba Data Enrichment™ services. But to utilize the ASV application to its fullest potential required integrating the company’s business processes and developing internal knowledge on data analysis best practices.
