Past success with Shelby

Already familiar with the THD environment, Shelby had been intimately involved with several THD initiatives including the last major upgrade from 7.1a to 8.1.  During this project, Shelby provided guidance to THD management on architecture and project direction, installing, configuring, and deploying Ariba Buyer 8.1 in all development and production environments, as well as post implementation support, performance tuning, custom T&E enhancements, and training on several areas such as Catalog Management and Ariba Sourcing. THD recognized their past success with Shelby and would lean on Shelby for its experience and knowledge on the Ariba 8.2.2 upgrade as well.

Executing a Smooth Upgrade

Taking the lead role in managing the upgrade, the Shelby team executed a proven methodology of the 8.1 to 8.2.2 upgrade from preparing the 8.1 instance, installing 8.2, preparing the database/environment, running the task harness, migrating the integration channel, and finalizing the environment migration.  On paper, every step related to the upgrade process appeared text book.
