UOM Challenges in Contract Management
Another leading culprit of challenges was the Contract Unit of Measure (UOM) values.
Over 300 Contract Line-Items had unit of measure issues which were leading to transaction lifecycle issues. Since a majority of SRM inventory contracts were not being negotiated, invoices were also being blocked, causing drastic changes in product pricing and big issues with inventory valuation, quantity and handling. This made it nearly impossible to order properly and accurately. From a business relationship perspective, response time changes to SRM contracts were also taking too much time.
