To provide Shelby clients an alternative to offshore technical consulting, Shelby has invested in the Remote Development Center (RDC).  The RDC is comprised of a dedicated veteran team of consultants that leverage Shelby’s vast knowledge base of Spend Management. 

Shelby provides customized remote development solutions to a diverse group of clients who rely on us for vertical-specific processes. Our suite of RDC outsourcing service offerings includes:

1. On-going application maintenance & production support.
2. Development of new releases.
3. Performance improvements.
4. Multiple tiers of help desk services available on 24/7 basis.

Within the RDC, Shelby engages the consulting individuals assigned at the task level; management assigned to clients; and Managing Partners who serve for overall customer service.  All parties contribute to ensure ‘health’ of the project/staff augmentation. 

The RDC also provides Quality Assurance Standards (QAS) used to measure quality in our consulting and remote development center teams.  Actionable review, feedback, and response demonstrated by our approach to ensure methodical analysis and evaluation of all the deliverables, work products, and services Shelby provides.  Continuous improvement achieved by these teams collaborating across clients to leverage depth of experience in process and technology, vertical industries specifics, and for creativity and lessons learned.

Shelby’s overall approach and visibly to clients demonstrates our commitment to quality and continuous improvement. By facilitating open and continuous communication, the RDC promotes performance, actions on feedback, and mitigation of risk for potential schedule and cost overruns. 

The RDC offers a combination of Onsite, Near-shore, and Offshore resources in its delivery.  Near-shore resources are located in IL and NY.  Based on Shelby’s structure, Shelby also provides competitive Offshore delivery pricing with resources located in India and China.  The combination of these models and offerings is dependent on an evaluation prior to each engagement, which is built into the RDC model.  The basis for the evaluation focuses on several factors including client culture and complexity of requirements.
